1. Mine are only 4 months. But the first time I have them a doll they kept looking at the doll and then at their sister and back to the doll. It was really cute

2. Mine are 3 now and last night they spent a solid 2 hours running around the house playing with each other! It’s so awesome to see since as a twin mom you feel like you are constantly tending to one of them. Now they finally are interacting and enjoying it! We always knew this day would come and it seems so far off at the start but you’ll get there – they are their own best friends!

3. My boys (2.5) thank each other when the other gives them something and it’s the cutest thing.

4. My twin girls are two and do almost everything together. We recently converted their cribs into toddler beds. One always gets out to go over and visit the other one for a while before climbing back into her own bed.

5. I had my approximately 6 month old babies in their stroller at the grocery store. An adorable 5 year old was shopping with her father and wanted to see the babies. She looked at them for a while and said “If you have 2 babies does that mean you have 2 husbands?”

6. My twins love their older siblings and try to copy them. Today when the older ones played with their dolls they also wanted dolls so I gave them 2 dolls I had ready for them and they took them happily. So all kids were sitting in the living room, taking care of their babies and it was so cute.

7. Mine will be 9 months old tomorrow and they already play together. I can set them down in the playpen together and they are content for a long time. Aren’t usually actually playing together but side by side and they are happy to have each other!

8. They tag-teamed me once. I was once folding a big pile of laundry on the couch, and putting it up high so it would be out of reach of my 1 year olds. Both of my twins are in the kitchen. Suddenly, one twin takes her applesauce pouch and starts squeezing it all over the floor. I immediately rush over and grab some paper towels to clean it up before she slips in it. I was gone a total of 30 seconds, but as soon as the applesauce hit the floor.. my second twin must have taken her que to slip behind me, run into the living room, climb up on the couch.. and dramatically toss the clean clothes I’d just folded in all directions on the floor. I have a hard time thinking this wasn’t a planned diversion!

9. 6 year old boy girl twins. Fought the whole drive to school. I dropped them off and watch them drop their bags at their respective classroom doors, then run back over to each other and hug.

10. They always make sure that if they get something, like a snack or water, that the other one gets some as well.

11. Mine are 16 months. One of my favourite things is getting home from work. I’ll climb into the maaasive play pen and they both stop what they’re doing, squeal ‘MAMA’ then toddle over as fast as their tiny legs can go & pounce on me for a double cuddle – it makes those rough days of the first months feel like forever ago!

12. Right before the boys birthday we were looking through old photos of them. We started with newer ones and by the time we got back to around 2/3 months we can barely tell who is in which picture, even some with both babies have us confused! We’ve had to just make a guess and write a name on the back…I doubt anyone else will notice if we can’t!

13. Best piece of advice I was given by another random twin mom who stopped me while I was shopping alone with them was ignore everyone who only has one kid at a time when they warn you “just you wait” it gets harder in this or this stage. She told me it only gets easier with twins. It has only gotten easier so far. Maybe it’ll get harder and I’m naive but I prefer to think she was right and so far she has been.

14. 1 year old twin boys here. I’ve loved it and it’s precious to see them play together. It’s tough but every day I feel like I won the lottery.

15. Mine are a little over three. Boy/girl. They love each other so much. They play together great now for long stretches, help each other, the girl tends to “mother” the boy a bit. Their bond is so cute and special. They also have a big brother who they think is super cool, but it’s different between them. They also still fight, hit, wrestle, scream at one another, etc., but not as often anymore. It’s a really special thing to be a part of!

16. After their second round of vaccinations my son projectile puked. It was a fountain. Arched up into the air and down again, straight onto his sister and she just turned her head to look at him and gives him the evilest evil eye.

17. They were transverse in my womb (so forehead to forehead) and at 5 years old, still “touch foreheads” to comfort one another.

18. One of my twin babies toddled out of his bedroom this morning having snatched his paci from between the bars of the crib (we only allow pacis in bed right now) and he had a second one to hand to his brother.

19. My B/G twins are in senior kindergarten. They have different friends and likes but always look out for each other. I hear them let the other know where they’re going in the house and ending in “love you” with a “love you too” back.

20. My twins (20 now) and my youngest (19 now, they’re 11 months apart) still tell me stories about them using their own language to communicate with each other even when they were in elementary school, as it was a way to be able to talk freely without anyone knowing what they were actually saying.

21. Just today they were negotiating on what to watch while I made breakfast and it was hilarious. “Spider-Man!” “No. No, brother. We watched Spiderman all day. Mickey. We watch Mickey.” “sigh ok…. Ok brother”. They hadn’t watched any tv so I have no idea where he came up with that “we watched it all day” quip, but apparently his brother was convinced.

22. Today, twin B woke up from nap in tears – he hates waking up. Twin A saw this, toddled over and handed him her pacifier because she saw he was sad. Also today, twin A wasn’t feeling dinner so twin B took some of his food and started hand feeding it to twin A. She ate it – and many giggles ensued.

23. Last week, my son saved his “classroom dollars” to buy his sister a stuffy in their classroom store. They do things like this for each other often. It’s so sweet. They fight like cats and dogs, too and fourth grade math x2 is no joke, but really, they are amazing and I think alot of their patience and caring stems directly from being twins.
